I have a 1998 jeep cherokee 4x4 and my door lock button does not work on the passenger or drivers side. Checked all doors last evening no luck. Jeep 1998 grand cherokee 4 0l l6 body door lock actuator. I have already tried taking off the door panel and checking the harnesses for corrosion.

Zj power door lock problems. So then i disconnected the harnesses and plug them back in and that was not the problem. Nothing will lock or unlock electronically. There is no corrosion.

If the right front door locks and unlocks there is output from the passenger door module the rear and right front are on the same circuit. No parts for vehicles in selected markets. Just the passenger door module. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don t.

Again i believe this was a problem that was corrected on the 96 my change. Anyways i have to dismantle the dash again to find the dead short.
